How we verify GLP‑1 providers
How the Pensday where-to-buy guides are built: how providers are found, how prices are verified, how the Pensday Score works, and why we take no commission.

The guides cover 11 UK cities and the national online services, verified 1–3 August 2026. Here is exactly how the data is collected and what the numbers mean.
Who gets listed
Regulated providers only: pharmacies registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and clinics registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), where a GMC-registered doctor or pharmacist independent prescriber runs a consultation before any prescription. We deliberately exclude no-prescription websites and social-media sellers. Buying prescription medicine without a consultation is illegal and unsafe, and we will not send readers to it. Listing is free and cannot be bought.
The short lists
Each city guide starts with a short list of providers based in that city. To be on it, a provider needs a registration number we confirmed against the GPhC, CQC or Healthcare Improvement Scotland register, and no red flags in our research. Providers that publish a price come first, cheapest Mounjaro first, with one branch per chain. The London guide and the online guide rank by the Pensday Score instead.
How prices are verified
Every price is read from the provider’s own live pricing page, never copied from third-party comparison articles, and we record the exact page it came from with the date we checked. “From” prices are standing monthly prices: promotional first-month rates, weekly-equivalent marketing and discount codes are excluded. Prices change often, so treat ours as a verified snapshot and confirm on the provider’s site before buying.
The Pensday Score
The score out of 5 (called the Tiro Score before the app was renamed) is computed, not opined:
- Base: the review-count-weighted average of the provider’s Trustpilot and Google ratings (weight = log₁₀ of the review count, so 12 reviews can’t outvote 12,000).
- Minus 0.2 per provider-specific red flag (upheld ASA rulings, regulator enforcement, documented complaint patterns), capped at −0.6. Industry-wide context that applies to every provider is not penalised.
- Minus 0.1 if we could not verify a GPhC or CQC registration, and minus 0.1 if no prices are published with a checkable source.
- Providers with no independent reviews at all show “Not yet rated”. We never invent a number.
Trustpilot and Google figures are shown with attribution. They are their platforms’ numbers, not ours.
Our reviews
The short summaries in the guides come from the file we compiled on each provider: its published information, its regulator records and recurring themes across customer reviews. Negative findings are stated factually with the source named (for example, an ASA ruling reference), never speculation.
Independence
Pensday makes a tracking app; we sell no medication. These guides carry no affiliate links, no sponsored placement and no commission of any kind. Providers can report factual corrections through support. Corrections are verified against sources before publishing, and providers cannot edit their own reviews or scores.

These guides compare services: price, verification, delivery and service quality. They make no claims about the medicines themselves and are not medical advice. Whether a GLP‑1 medication is right for you is a decision for you and a qualified prescriber.
